OLEV Research and development fund – HALO Project
We are extremely proud to announce that we will be working with Jaguar Land Rover, FAR-UK, TWI, and HPL Prototypes to help optimise hybrid structures for the automotive sector.
This project will consist of optimising the use of composite material to maximise the efficiency within the structure of vehicles. We will be using our LDV (laser Doppler vibrometry) system to analyse these objects and extrapolate valuable data from real world experiments, which can then in turn be correlated with FEA models. Our state of the art non-destructive testing method will be able to offer better accuracy and more measurements in a shorter amount of time. Using the LDV system also means that the observer effects will be removed since we will not be using traditional transducers which can alter the materials characteristics.
