ASDEC at the Advanced Engineering UK 2015

ASDEC made a return to the Advanced Engineering UK 2015

After the success last year, we were back with a bang at the Advanced Engineering UK 2015 on 4th-5th November at the NEC, Birmingham.

United and reunited

ASDEC Technical Expert, Martin Cockrill said: [box]“It was good to catch up with a few people that I’d been talking to via email etc, and some old faces that I hadn’t seen for years.”[/box]
In the course of the two days we were able to speak to many companies across the engineering industries who were interested in improving their structural dynamics testing and modal analysis.

Our stand

Chocolate treats were on offering for everyone who visited us. We were kept busy across both days with a constant stream of visitors to the stand. See some of the visitors who had come to talk to our experts at our stand. Tweeted live from the show:

However, it was our live demo that attracted the eyes of passer-by’s who stopped to learn more. Check it out: We also got the opportunity to explore and learn from other exhibitor presentations which we were greatly impressed with. There was a good flow of people especially to see the low carbon River Simple and Tesla vehicles nearby.

Exhibitors of the show maintained an enthusiastic and positive attitude throughout both days. Like last year, there was a wide variety of exhibitors and visitors. There was a wide range of stand sizes and shapes, from small to impressively huge parade-like exhibits. Many who attended the show would agree Rolls Royce’s engine and Airbus’ sailing boat that reached the hall’s ceiling, were the overall highlights of the show with their huge and captivating presentations. Watch the short clip tweeted live from the show from some of our favourite presentations: Characterising Composites was also definitely one of the hot topics with correlation of Finite Element models at a close second.

Our verdict

As expected, we had a fun time at the show; the organisation was great, with an ideal location. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement from both exhibitors and visitors. It was great to see everyone full of energy and enjoying themselves as much as we were. The event gave many opportunities to network and overall it was an exciting and positive show. Like last year, Advanced Engineering UK 2015 was a great success.
